Machine Operator - CNC ABB Cell Operator

Position Purpose:

Responsible for running Robotic Cells, including manual lathes such as Mazak or Okuma, to chuck up and turn parts to specified dimensions. Operates Robots, Center Bench, Heat Treat, and Hobb or Rack Roller. Stacks finished parts in shipping containers, makes adjustments, performs tool changes, and inspects parts to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.50 - $21.75 (+$1.00 3rd shift adder pay)

Essential Functions:

• Reads work orders and blueprint specifications to determine program requirements.
• Reviews material requirements and adjusts machines accordingly.
• Sets up machines with provided programs and makes necessary adjustments.
• Manually maneuvers Robots when needed.
• Measures parts for dimensional accuracy using various gauges.
• Follows written and oral work instructions.
• Collaborates effectively with supervision and co-workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Training:

High School Diploma or GED; CNC Machining experience is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Computer literacy for record-keeping.

Physical Demands:

• Stand continuously for 8-12 hours.
• Work in tight spaces.
• Lift up to 20 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Perform manual tasks requiring strength and dexterity.

Environmental Conditions:

• Exposure to loud noises, heat, humid conditions, and chemicals.
• Use of ear and eye protection, steel toe boots with guards required.
