Job summary

Sheridan in Hanover, PA, is hiring a MACHINE OPERATOR for 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00AM–4:00PM. This full-time role offers competitive pay, a shift premium, overtime opportunities and on-the-job training.

You will learn to set up and operate high-speed bindery equipment, keep machines running smoothly, and work with a team to hit daily production goals while inspecting finished products for quality.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating machinery in any industry encouraged.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read basic job instructions/measurements.

What You'll Do:

• Learn to set up and operate bindery equipment
• Keep machines running smoothly by making adjustments and monitoring quality
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Troubleshoot minor issues and keep production moving

What We're Looking For:

No bindery experience? No problem - we'll train you!

• We're looking for people who:
• Have experience operating machinery in any industry
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team
• Have a HS diploma or GED

It's a plus if you have:

• Print, Bindery, or Finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical Requirements

• Frequent turning, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Continuous walking and/or standing.
• Occasional kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and sitting.
• Occasional pushing/pulling up to 50lbs.
