Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Operator – Bindery and will train you on high-speed bindery equipment. This regular full-time role is on the shop floor with a 2nd shift, offering hands-on learning and a path to a long-term career in print manufacturing.

You’ll operate and set up bindery machinery, monitor quality, and work with a team to meet daily goals. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and ongoing skills development within a growing company.

Qualifications

• One year of manufacturing or related experience preferred.
• No bindery experience required; training provided.
• Ability to read basic job instructions and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate and set up bindery equipment (cutters, folders, stitchers, perfect binders).
• Keep machines running smoothly by making adjustments and monitoring quality.
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and keep production moving.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 20lbsoccasionally
