Job summary

Sheridan in Brainerd, MN, is hiring for a full-time bindery operator on 2nd or 3rd shift. You’ll learn to operate and set up high-speed bindery equipment, keep machines running, hit daily production goals, and inspect finished products for quality.

We value hands-on work, reliability, and teamwork. Safety rules apply; safety toe shoes and hearing protection are required. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Have a High School Diploma, or GED.
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)

• Learn to operate and set up bindery equipment encasing books in hard cases.
• Keep machines running smoothly by making adjustments and monitoring quality.
• Work with a team to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products to meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor issues to keep production moving.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.

It’s a Plus If You Have

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and the physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals.

Safety toe shoes and hearing protection required.

On your feet for most of the shift

Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50lbs.
