Job summary

Sheridan Ohio is seeking a Manufacturing Associate for finishing/binding with a night shift. You will learn to operate high-speed bindery equipment through hands-on training and contribute to turning books and printed materials into finished products.

No bindery experience is required—training is provided. You will read job instructions, measure materials, and work with teammates to meet daily production goals while maintaining safety standards and quality control.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.).
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and documents.
• Basic math skills including measuring and adding/subtracting.
• Able to work as part of a team to hit daily production goals.
• Commitment to safety procedures and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Feed books/signatures into machine.
• Pack books into cartons.
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation.
• Perform hand operations as required.
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.

What We're Looking For:

No bindery experience? No problem—we'll train you.

We're looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements.
• Take pride in doing quality work.
• Show up reliably and work well with a team.

It's a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience.
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment.

Physical & Work Environment:

• On your feet for most of the shift.
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor.
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
