Job summary

ND Paper is seeking a Machine Assistant 2 for its Converting Floor in Sturtevant, WI. You will support the Operator and Machine Assistant 1 with setup, operation, and changeovers, while serving as the primary quality check point during production runs and developing toward operating competency.

We value reliability, basic math, and the ability to read job tickets. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; Mandarin a plus. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• No prior manufacturing experience required; corrugated or packaging experience is a plus.
• Ability to read a job ticket and match dimensions to product.
• Basic math skills to count bundles and verify counts.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; Mandarin a plus.
• punctual, coachable and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety as a core value and lead safe work.
• Remove/stack finished bundles from machine outfeed per ticket.
• Monitor bundle counts and flag irregularities to supervisor.
• Perform periodic quality pulls inspecting fold, glue, print, and dimensions.
• Document quality results on the job quality log per SOP.
• Feed sheets into the machine infeed during startup or low-crew conditions.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and assist with minor changeovers.
• Communicate production counts and quality concerns in real time.
• Participate in end-of-shift cleanup; perform other duties as assigned.
