Job summary

ND Paper is seeking a Machine Assistant 2 to support the Operator and Machine Assistant 1 on the Converting floor. You will assist with setup, operation, and changeovers, acting as the primary quality checkpoint during runs and helping ensure safe, efficient production.

This 2nd shift role runs 2PM–10PM, Monday through Friday with occasional overtime. A high school diploma is required; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, and basic math and ticket-reading skills are essential for accurate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read a job ticket and match box dimensions, board grade, and print description to physical product.
• Basic math skills: count bundles, verify counts, and identify discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety as a core value and lead safe work practices.
• Assist with setup, operation, and changeovers under supervision.
• Monitor quality, inspect bundles, and log results on the quality log.
• Flag irregular bundles or problems to Operators.
• Maintain clean, organized output stacking per job ticket requirements.
• Communicate production counts and quality concerns in real time.
• Support end-of-shift cleanup and machine housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
