Job summary

ND Paper is seeking a Machine Assistant 1 for the Converting floor in Sturtevant, WI. The role supports the Operator with setup, operation, and changeovers, acting as the primary quality check point during production runs and helping with minor adjustments.

You will work 2PM–10PM on weekdays, with overtime as needed, and aim to develop toward Operator competency. This position requires a high school diploma or GED and 6–12 months of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months of manufacturing/converting experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets (board spec, print, die layout).
• Basic understanding of corrugated quality standards.
• Willingness to work 2PM–10PM shift, and overtime as needed.
• Bilingual ability a plus (English, Mandarin or Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Support Operator with setup, changeovers, and routine adjustments.
• Conduct first-article quality inspections and document results.
• Monitor quality, waste, and production counts; communicate deviations.
• Lead outfeed and cleanup; ensure readiness for next job.
• Operate machine independently during Operator breaks with supervision.
• Assist ink/color matching as directed.
