Job summary

Novolex is hiring for a Machine Assembly role in Cedar Rapids, IA. The position runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm in a climate-controlled environment and offers increasing pay with time in service. Essential duties include assembling large commercial packaging equipment, wiring, and testing components.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, an A.A.S. in Industrial Maintenance Technology or equivalent experience, and preferred WorkKeys certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 year A.A.S Degree – Industrial Maintenance Technology, or 2-5 years’ experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance or assembling capital equipment in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
• WorkKeys Certification: National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Certificate Level or higher), preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble large commercial consumer packaging equipment and subassemblies.
• Connect electrical wires, mechanical and pneumatic parts; perform tests to ensure correct operation.
