Job summary

Novolex is hiring a Machine Operator for the Large Mills in Cedar Rapids. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, in a climate-controlled environment. The pay scales from $28.94 to $30.88 per hour over the first year, with progression tied to time and performance.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating manual milling equipment such as a vertical mill, drill press, radial drill, hone, and Blanchard grinder, and ensuring parts meet specifications using precision tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years CNC Machining experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience operating manual mills, drill presses, radial drills, hones, and Blanchard grinders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of manual equipment used by a machinist.
• Machine parts to specifications and verify accuracy with precision tools.
• Observe machine operations and confirm accuracy of work pieces.
