Job summary

Finix is seeking an IT Operations Specialist in San Francisco to own device lifecycle, identity management, security, and compliance, ensuring a productive and secure environment for a growing fintech team. This in-office role focuses on Mac device provisioning, onboarding/offboarding automation, and strong collaboration with HR and Security.

You will manage Okta SSO/MFA, maintain Palo Alto firewalls, and contribute to SOC 2 readiness while improving IT workflows with scripting.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of IT operations experience in a Mac-first environment.
Hands-on expertise with Atlassian, Kandji, Okta, and Palo Alto Networks.
Experience supporting compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar).
Comfortable writing shell scripts or Python to automate repetitive tasks.
Startup or high-growth experience a plus — you're used to building, not just maintaining.
You take ownership, communicate proactively, and treat internal employees as customers.

Responsibilities

Device Lifecycle Management: Own end-to-end Mac device management using Kandji.
Employee Lifecycle: Design and manage onboarding and offboarding workflows via Okta.
Identity & Access Management: Administer Okta SSO, MFA, and lifecycle policies.
IT & Network Security: Manage Palo Alto firewalls and security policies.
Compliance & Security: Support SOC 2 or similar audits with evidence and logs.
AV Support: Manage conference room AV systems and vendor relationships.
Tooling & Automation: Improve IT workflows through scripting and automation.
