Job summary

Texas Sports Academy in Austin is seeking a Junior IT Operations Specialist to support our IT Operations Manager with daily device program tasks. You will help configure and deploy MacBook Neos and manage shipments across Texas.

Jointly with the IT team, you will image devices, apply security settings, handle returns, and deliver first-line support to students and staff, ensuring our campus technology runs smoothly.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on IT support or IT operations experience.
• Experience with macOS deployment and management.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks (receiving shipments, inventory).
• Strong customer service and communication with students and staff.
• Attention to detailed record-keeping across inventory and devices.
• Familiarity with AI tools and comfort with tech like Perplexity Computer is a plus.
• Austin-area resident or commute required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with IT Operations Manager on daily tasks.
• Image and prepare MacBook Neos, install software, apply MDM profiles.
• Receive shipments, log serials, manage inventory, ship devices.
• Process returns and reimage devices for redeployment.
• Provide first-line user support to students and staff.
• Maintain accurate device tracking and internal docs.
