Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Patient Support Advocate in Massachusetts to help patients access medications and overcome barriers to care. The role combines patient advocacy with insurance navigation, prior authorizations, and financial assistance coordination to improve adherence and outcomes.

You will work with pharmacists and care teams to enter data, adjudicate claims, and guide patients through complex processes while maintaining compliant records.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Strong customer service and patient communication skills.
• Experience with insurance claims, prior authorizations, or pharmacy operations preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate with insurance companies to facilitate prior authorizations.
• Help patients access financial assistance to reduce medication costs.
• Navigate pharmacy systems to enter data, adjudicate claims, and process refills.
• Document patient concerns and status updates across databases and EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians' offices to ensure timely therapy.
• Maintain records of patient communications and case activity.
