Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support providers in a clinic setting. Under licensed supervision, you will perform clinical tasks, assist with exams, take vital signs, and handle clerical duties to keep the office running smoothly.

The role includes EKGs, phlebotomy, injections when appropriate, charting in the EMR, coordinating refills, and ensuring patient comfort. A signing bonus may be available during the interview process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS or Heart Saver certification within 3 months of hire.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by MA Department of Health.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and POC tests.
• Assist with injections and routine procedures.
• Maintain charts and EMR documentation.
• Coordinate with insurers for prior authorizations.
