Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II to provide clinical and clerical support in a busy clinic setting. Under supervision of licensed clinicians, you will collect vitals, assist with exams, perform EKGs and phlebotomy, and help with injections as needed.

Responsibilities include clerical tasks, charting, patient flow management, and coordinating with insurers for authorizations when required. This role supports a patient-centered care team in central Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS/HS certification within 3 months if not already held.
• MA credential approved by MA Dept. of Health; substitute allowed with experience.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vitals.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy and Point of Care tests.
• Assist with injections and routine clinical procedures.
• Maintain logs and medical records in EMR.
