Job summary

MRCC in New York seeks an experienced M365 Testing Engineer Lead to drive testing strategy, quality assurance, and governance across a complex Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Lead regression testing across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Defender, and related platforms, translating requirements into test plans and metrics.

The role focuses on establishing governance standards, coordinating with Security and Compliance teams, and delivering automated regression suites and continuous testing

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA, testing, automation, or software validation.
• 3+ years leading enterprise testing programs or QA teams.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 technologies (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint).
• Experience designing testing frameworks and automation strategies.
• Knowledge of Defender, security controls, compliance validation, and email routing tech.
• Experience with defect management, test planning, reporting, and release governance.
• Strong ITIL/ITSM principles understanding.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute enterprise M365 testing and automation strategies.
• Lead end-to-end regression testing across EXO, Teams, SharePoint Online, Core Services, Client Workstation Packaging, Robotics/Automation Platforms, Defender, Email Routing.
• Translate business, engineering, UX, security, and compliance requirements into test plans, cases, and validation criteria.
• Drive test planning, execution, defect management, reporting, and quality metrics.
• Review test results and provide release-readiness recommendations.
• Establish testing governance standards and best practices across M365 platforms.
• Partner with Security, Risk, Compliance, and Infrastructure to validate controls and regulatory requirements.
• Track KPIs, defect trends, and compliance reporting; support audit readiness with documentation.
