Job summary

Commercial Programming Systems, Inc. (CPS) is seeking an experienced M365 Testing Lead to drive enterprise testing strategy, quality assurance, and automation across a Microsoft 365 environment in a hybrid NYC setting.

You will lead regression testing, develop testing frameworks, and partner with engineering, security, compliance, and business teams to ensure high-quality releases. This senior role requires 5+ years QA, strong communication, and ITIL/ITSM knowledge, with hands-on experience in

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Quality Assurance, Software Testing, Test Automation, or Software Validation experience.
• 3+ years leading enterprise QA or testing initiatives.
• Hands-on experience testing Microsoft 365 technologies, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint Online.
• Experience testing Microsoft Defender, email routing, or Microsoft 365 security solutions.
• Strong experience developing testing strategies, automation frameworks, and regression testing processes.
• Experience with defect management, release governance, and quality reporting.
• Strong understanding of ITIL/ITSM principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end regression testing across Microsoft 365 platforms, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and related services.
• Define and execute enterprise testing strategies and automation frameworks.
• Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Drive test planning, execution, defect management, reporting, and release readiness.
• Develop automated regression suites and continuous testing capabilities.
• Establish testing governance, standards, and quality best practices.
• Collaborate with Security, Risk, Compliance, and Infrastructure teams to validate controls.
• Track testing KPIs, quality metrics, defect trends, and compliance reporting.
• Support audit readiness through documentation and evidence collection.
• Own lower testing rings supporting continuous regression testing and release validation.
• Apply ITIL/ITSM principles to improve testing processes and operational excellence.

About the Role

Required Qualifications

• Experience testing Microsoft Defender, email routing, or Microsoft 365 security solutons.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large enterprise or financial services environments.
• Knowledge of governance frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, or NIST.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools.
• Exposure to Microsoft Purview or Microsoft 365 Compliance.
• Microsoft, ISTQB, ITIL, or related certifications.
