Job summary

KPMG is seeking a Manager, M&A IT Due Diligence Strategy to join our Strategy group in the Deal Advisory and Strategy practice in the Dallas area. You will lead IT-focused buy-side and sell-side due diligence, drive IT integration/separation, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires strong management skills, deep IT transformation experience in M&A, and the ability to present complex IT findings to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in technology/business consulting or related roles with involvement in IT transformation projects for IT-focused M&A (integration/separation, platform migration, modernization, outsourcing, or regulatory tech).
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, finance, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Familiarity with post-merger IT integration, carve-out separation, process reengineering, offshoring, or IT risk and compliance; knowledge of IT best practices for enterprise ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead buy-side and sell-side IT assessments across key IT domains; identify IT risks, opportunities, and investments; produce due diligence reports with findings, impact analyses, and strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Drive IT integration and separation initiatives from sign-to-close and post-close stages.
• Lead development of draft deliverables and work products such as IT current state assessments, entanglement identification, IT operating model definitions, IT synergies, and day 1 and post-close plans.
• Oversee execution of IT plans and establish governance frameworks; manage status reports and risk/issue logs to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify IT dependencies, risks, and opportunities; align with deal objectives and adjust strategies as needed.
• Facilitate high-level discussions and lead presentations with executive IT/business stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior staff; uphold professional integrity and KPMG values.
