Job summary

SunSource is seeking a strategic M&A Market Manager to drive profitable growth through acquisition opportunities across Fluid Power, Automation, and related industrial sectors. You will manage the full lifecycle from target identification through due diligence and post-acquisition integration, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Legal, HR, Finance, and executives.

The role requires deep industry knowledge, strong financial acumen, excellent communication, and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or sales is preferred.
• 3–5 years of buy-side experience identifying target companies and initiating buy/sell process in Mergers and Acquisitions.
• 10+ years of experience within Industrial Distribution, with demonstrated experience in Fluid Process (pumps, valves, instrumentation, process controls, flow technologies), or related industrial technology markets.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools such as Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as proficient internet research skills utilizing relevant tools, applications and services.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to travel minimum of 50% of the time. This role can be remote but needs to be home based within reasonable proximity to a major airport.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate acquisition targets within Fluid Process and adjacent markets.
• Lead or participate in due diligence and integration planning with cross-functional teams.
• Develop business cases rationale and integration action plans for transactions.
• Present recommendations to SunSource's senior leadership and Board of Directors.
