Embark's M&A Advisory practice seeks an accomplished M&A Director - Business Transformation to lead engagements across the deal lifecycle—from pre-deal assessment to post-close integration. You will map current-state processes, design future-state operating models, and drive measurable synergies for clients.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in M&A integration or related strategic operations, a solid FP&A foundation, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years in M&A integration or related fields
  • Experience building SG&A run-rate models and headcount scaling models
  • FP&A experience across budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
  • CPA or accounting background preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead M&A engagements across the deal lifecycle from pre-deal assessment and operational due diligence through post-close integration
  • Design future-state operating models, setting spans, layers, and headcount
  • Own the financial analysis: SG&A run-rate, headcount scaling, and pro-forma bridge
  • Provide strategic guidance and actionable recommendations during integration
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across finance, HR, IT, and operations
  • Mentor internal teams and stay current with market best practices
