Job summary

Carle Health in Springfield, IL is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT)/PTA or Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat patients of all ages. Lymphedema certification is preferred but not required. Compensation will vary by licensure and may differ from the posted range.

This role includes a sign-on bonus; typical shifts are M-F, 8 hours daily, with full-time lymphedema patients. IL-licensed PT; BLS within 30 days; CE for acute stroke care may be required.

Qualifications

• Active IL Physical Therapist license required.
• BLS certification within 30 days.
• Continuing education on acute stroke care required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with assistance as needed and uses safe body mechanics.
• Treats patients with dignity and empathy, engaging them in care.
• Designs and adjusts a plan of care with goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan.
• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs examinations using appropriate methods based on history and screening.
• Produces documentation per CTSCP67 policy.
• Screens patients to determine therapy needs and uses support personnel per regulations.
• Completes annual education for regulatory requirements.
