Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), or Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide comprehensive care for lymphedema patients and assist in the rehabilitation process. The role requires licensure in the appropriate field, with a sign-on bonus offered.

The position is full-time with Monday–Friday 8-hour days; additional shift options may be considered. Lymphedema certification is preferred but not required, and compensation will vary by licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (Field of Study) is required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with licensure in good standing (IDFPR or applicable state board) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safe body mechanics during patient handling and transfers.
• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Designs and updates care plans with goals, outcomes, and discharge plans.
• Documents care in accordance with policy and regulatory standards.
• Communicates patient status and discharge needs with the medical team.
