Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adjusting plans of care as needed. This role supports staff and students as a clinical resource and delivery model for professional services.

The position may include M-F, 8-hour days with potential for other shift combinations. Lymphedema certification is preferred but not required, and a sign-on bonus is available. Compensation varies with licensure and applicable qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Illinois or equivalent licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association.
• Attend continuing education for acute stroke patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient transfers with assistance, using proper body mechanics.
• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Develops and adjusts plan of care with goals, treatment, and discharge plan.
• Evaluates clinical findings and determines PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Documents according to CTSCP67 and regulatory standards.
• Supervises PTA and rehab technicians as appropriate.
