Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking an LVN Surgical Tech to assist the operating room team. You will support surgeons, prepare instruments, manage the sterile field, and help ensure a safe, efficient environment for surgeries.

The role requires meticulous instrument handling, aseptic technique, and collaboration with the Registered Nurse and circulating staff. A high school diploma or GED, an LVN license, and BLS certification are required, with immediate eligibility for benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; LVN license and BLS certification required.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a surgical or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments before surgery and communicate with surgeons to understand needs.
• Prepare the operation site and maintain a clean, prepped area.
• Organize instrument tables and verify instrument counts throughout procedures.
• Assist with draping, positioning, and handling specimens per protocol.
• Assist with post-operative dressing and cleanup of the OR.
