Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking an LVN Instructor (DSD) to lead nursing education in Fresno and surrounding areas. The role involves 60 hours of classroom theory and 100 hours of supervised clinical training, with delivery between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The instructor supports program goals and patient care standards within a CDPH-approved facility. The position requires an active California RN or LVN license, two years of nursing experience, and experience planning, implementing, and evaluating

Qualifications

• Active RN or LVN license in California is required.
• Two years of nursing experience in relevant settings is required.
• One year of education program planning experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans to correlate with course outline.
• Apply effective teaching strategies when delivering lessons.
• Create and maintain a safe, learning-focused classroom and clinical lab.
• Maintain classroom and clinical discipline and standards.
• Participate in staff in-services and advisory meetings.
• Provide student assessments and ensure prerequisites are met for placement.
• Maintain accurate records and complete documentation as required.
• Provide supervised clinical training with a 15:1 student-to-clinical ratio.
