Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) for full-time day shift at a small-format hospital.

The LVN will provide safe, compassionate nursing care under RN supervision, administering medications, documenting care, and collaborating with the care team to meet patient needs in a 16-bed facility. Required: current LVN/LPN license, 2 years acute care experience, BLS/ACLS, English fluency, and state clearances.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED and graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Experience: Two years of LVN/LPN experience in an acute care setting.
• Certification/Licenses: Current LVN/LPN license for the state you practice; BLS & ACLS certifications.
• Pedagogy IV Certification must be completed within 30 days of hire.
• English: Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Clearances: PA Act 33 and Act 73 within last 5 years or obtained prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients with predictable health care needs as directed by the RN and the patient’s plan of care.
• Performs assigned responsibilities to promote quality and safe patient care and excellent customer service.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation of patient care reflecting the plan of care.
• Completes focused patient assessments in accordance with the state’s nurse practice act and organizational policies.
• Administers medications in accordance with organization policies.
• Reports data to assist in the identification of problems and formulation of goals/outcomes and patient-centered plans of care.
• Communicates and collaborates with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary health care team to plan, deliver, and coordinate patient-centered care.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Adheres to infection control, isolation procedures, and aseptic techniques in the delivery of patient care.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.
• Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned
