Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. in Duluth, GA is seeking a Service Engineering Specialist II for the Low Voltage Motors team. The role provides intermediate-level technical support for LV Drives, Soft Starters, PLCs, HMIs, and related systems.

You will troubleshoot, perform remote diagnostics, support field service engineers, and develop documentation while collaborating with engineering, quality, and product management to deliver solutions and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

3–7 years of experience supporting industrial automation, motor control, or related technologies.
Strong knowledge of LV Drives, Soft Starters, motors and electrical systems.
Familiarity with MV/DC/System Drive applications; diagnostics software and remote support.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support via phone, email, and remote connection for LV Drives, Soft Starters, PLCs, HMIs, and related applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex electrical, control, programming, and communication issues.
Perform structured remote diagnostics to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Evaluate cases to determine when on-site intervention is required and coordinate escalation to Field Service or Senior Support Engineers.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge-base resources.
