Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. in Duluth, GA is seeking a Service Engineering Specialist II to provide intermediate-level technical support for LV Drives, Soft Starters, PLCs, HMIs, and basic MV/DC/System Drive applications.

You will troubleshoot, perform remote diagnostics, and guide field teams to resolve issues while maintaining customer satisfaction. The role requires 3–7 years in industrial automation or related fields, with a Bachelor's in Engineering preferred and strong knowledge of electrical

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
3–7 years of experience supporting industrial automation, motor control systems, drives, controls, electrical systems, or related technologies.
Solid understanding of LV Drives, Soft Starters, motors, and industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support via phone, email, and remote connection for WEG LV Drives, Soft Starters, PLCs, HMIs, and basic MV/DC/System Drive applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex electrical, control, programming, and communication issues.
Perform structured remote diagnostics to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Evaluate support cases to determine when on-site intervention is required and coordinate escalation to Field Service or Senior Support Engineers.
Support Field Service Engineers by providing technical guidance, wiring diagrams, parameter recommendations, and troubleshooting assistance before and during site visits.
Document customer interactions, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions within technical support systems.
Assist with product evaluations, testing activities, warranty validation, and technical issue investigations.
Identify product non-conformities and collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to support corrective actions.
Provide field feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams to support continuous product improvement.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge-base resources.
Assist with customer training activities and support onboarding of new technical support team members.
Participate in after-hours support rotation as required.
Support customers with repair recommendations, return authorizations, and parts identification.
Maintain current knowledge of WEG products, applications, and emerging technologies.
Deliver a high level of customer service while managing escalated customer situations professionally.
