Job summary

WEG Electric Corp is seeking a Service Engineering Specialist II to join our Low Voltage Motors team in Duluth, GA. You will provide technical support for LV drives, soft starters, PLCs, HMIs, and basic MV/DC System Drive applications, diagnosing issues and guiding field service teams.

The role emphasizes remote diagnostics, documentation, and collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Product Management to deliver effective solutions and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Requires 3–7 years of experience in industrial automation, motor control systems, or related tech.
• Solid understanding of LV Drives, Soft Starters, motors, and industrial electrical systems.
• Familiarity with MV/DC Drives and System Drive applications; PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone, email, and remote connections for WEG LV Drives, Soft Starters, PLCs, HMIs, and related applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex electrical control, programming, and communication issues.
• Perform structured remote diagnostics and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate escalation to Field Service or Senior Support Engineers for on-site work when needed.
• Support Field Service Engineers with guidance before and during site visits.
