Job summary

O’Neill Vintners & Distillers seeks a Wine Educator in Paso Robles to deliver refined wine experiences, storytelling, and personalized service. You will guide guests through our wines, the estate, and our brand story with warmth, sophistication, and expert knowledge.

You will collaborate with hospitality, culinary, and events teams to ensure flawless daily service and special events, while supporting wine sales and guest engagement. CA certifications and 21+ are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in luxury hospitality, wine service, or sales
• Polished, engaging, professional presence
• Ability to build rapport with guests
• Passion for wine, food, and agriculture; ongoing learning
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Multitask under pressure in evolving service demands
• Detail-oriented with excellence in execution
• Collaborative, proactive, solutions-focused teamwork
• Experience with POS systems; Tock/Commerce7 a plus
• Availability for weekends, evenings, holidays, events
• Must be 21+; CA Food Handler and RBS cert within 30 days of hire
• Additional alcohol service certifications as required

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism for a personalized experience
• Lead tasting experiences and tours; articulate wine profiles and brand stories
• Build authentic guest relationships and tailor experiences
• Inspire wine purchases and wine club memberships through engagement
• Process transactions using POS systems and reconcile daily
• Collaborate with hospitality, culinary, and concierge teams
• Maintain immaculate guest-facing areas with luxury presentation
• Assist with member and trade events; ensure polished events
• Represent the winery on-site and at off-site events
• Keep knowledge current on wines, vintages, regulations, and shipping
• Expand knowledge of wine, hospitality, and sales techniques
• Champion sustainability and company values
• Communicate effectively and contribute to a high-performing team
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Perform additional duties as assigned
