Neiman Marcus in Chicago is seeking a Store Director to lead a luxury store, driving sales, service, and operational excellence. You will oversee the selling floor and back‑of‑house, uphold brand standards, and guide profitability with a hands‑on leadership style.

You will recruit, coach and empower a core management team, own the P&L, control expenses, and deliver exceptional client experiences while maximizing productivity and growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail leadership with luxury/high-volume env.
• Strong business acumen including P&L, payroll, controllable expenses.
• Ability to lead and develop a management team and foster high-performance culture.
• Experience driving sales growth through client engagement strategies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on decision-making.
• Experience in recruiting and filling open positions with urgency.
• Knowledge of HR processes and ability to execute HR functions for the store.
• Ability to balance operations ownership with client experience focus.

Responsibilities

• Hands on leadership to ensure High Performance results around Operations KPIs.
• Understand the P&L and manage controllable expenses within trends.
• Manage staffing and payroll to align with business needs.
• Drive sales growth and client experience aligned with brand standards.
• Lead and coach the Core Management Team; develop associates.
• Oversee recruitment and urgent filling of open roles.
• Execute HR functions and ensure store HR compliance.
