Job summary

L'Auberge de Sedona in Sedona, AZ is seeking an Executive Chef to lead our culinary team across Café, Room Service, and Banquets. You will craft memorable dining experiences, mentor staff, and drive excellence in food quality and presentation.

Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, cost management skills, and a track record of high standards in hospitality kitchens within a luxury resort setting.

Qualifications

• A two-year college degree with at least three years of related experience, or a four-year college degree with a minimum of one year of related experience is preferred.
• Five years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, including required supervisory experience.
• Ability to handle stressful, high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity.
• Must meet certification requirements, which may include Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist in food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and presentation across all outlets while maintaining safety expectations.
• Lead, motivate, coach, and discipline kitchen personnel to ensure efficient and high-quality food preparation and service.
• Manage food costs, budgets, and maximize cost/production ratios to optimize financial performance.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen, work, and storage areas, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Anticipate and address issues proactively to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Clearly convey information and resolve concerns from co-workers and guests effectively.
