Job summary

The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, VA is seeking a polished Reservations Agent to join our Front Office team. This full-time role manages hotel reservations, PBX operations, and guest communications to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities, possess excellent verbal and written communication, and present a professional, guest-focused demeanor in person and on the phone.

Qualifications

• Hospitality training/experience preferred
• Strong customer service background preferred
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced guest-focused environment
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, dependable work ethic
• Previous PBX/reservation system experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Manage hotel and dining reservations via phone, email, and online booking platforms
• Operate the hotel PBX system, directing calls professionally and efficiently
• Provide accurate information regarding room types, rates, hotel amenities, dining options, and local attractions
• Process reservation changes, cancellations, and special requests with high accuracy
• Support front desk operations with reservation base issues
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Concierge, Engineering, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure seamless service
• Maintain detailed and confidential guest records
• Generate reports and assist with administrative tasks
• Work with team to support Front Office operations and guest satisfaction
