Job summary

The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond is seeking an active Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily guest room cleaning and operations. You will supervise teammates, ensure luxury standards, and address maintenance and cleanliness concerns with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have several years of hospitality housekeeping experience, with strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills. The role requires hands-on participation and flexibility across shifts.

Qualifications

• Availability: Must be available to work any day or evening of the week, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
• Experience: Several years of hospitality housekeeping experience required; supervisory experience in a full-service hotel strongly preferred.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and support a team while maintaining high departmental standards.
• Hands-On Role: This is an active working supervisor position that requires daily participation in guest room cleaning and housekeeping operations.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms daily to support operational coverage and maintain luxury-level standards.
• Supervise housekeeping team members to ensure work is completed efficiently and with attention to detail.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance concerns.
• Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to housekeeping staff.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and service needs.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to support seamless hotel operations.
• Assist with inventory management and replenishment of housekeeping supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment while following all hotel safety and sanitation procedures.
• Support scheduling, daily reporting, and other operational tasks as assigned by department leadership.
