Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Scottsdale seeks a Pastry Chef to lead culinary operations in all pastry-related areas, develop creative menus, and ensure high standards with a focus on guest experience. You will collaborate with Executive Chef and oversee training and cost controls in a luxury resort environment.

The role requires strong leadership, organization, and a passion for pastry excellence, with 5+ years in pastry/chef roles and experience in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, follow up and organizational skills.
• Enthusiastic, outgoing personality who is very guest driven.
• Demonstrates real passion for menu planning and leadership.
• Minimum 5 years of Pastry chef/sous chef experience.
• Experience in a 4 Diamond luxury resort environment.
• Proven track record of cost control including food, equipment, labor, and wastage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily shift briefings with kitchen colleagues.
• Create menus and hands on training supporting menu development.
• Monitor payroll controls and perform daily edits.
• Lead by example with positive guidance and support to all kitchen staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper rotation of products in refrigeration and storage.
