Commodore Perry Estate, Auberge Collection in Austin seeks a Culinary Artisan pastry specialist to craft pastries, desserts, and breads with precision and artistry. You will work under the pastry leader, contributing to banquet and restaurant service and upholding the estate's pastry standards.

You will assist with mise en place, recipe execution, inventory, and waste control, while collaborating with pastry, culinary, stewarding, and service teams to ensure timely guest service.

Qualifications

• Formal training in culinary arts with a pastry/baking focus.
• At least 1 year pastry cook experience.
• Proficiency in baking methods, including dough preparation, shaping, and decorating.
• Strong attention to precision and high-quality presentation.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and finish pastries, desserts, breads per recipes and standards.
• Assist with mise en place, batch prep, baking, plating, and service for outlets and events.
• Follow recipes and communicate ingredient needs and timing to pastry leader.
• Maintain portioning, appearance, freshness, labeling, dating, and rotation of ingredients and finished items.
• Keep workstations and equipment clean; follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Receive, inspect, store deliveries; help monitor inventory and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with pastry, culinary, stewarding, and service teams for smooth kitchen operations.
• Participate in training, tastings, and menu prep as directed by leadership.
