Job summary

Hotel Arista in Chicago is seeking a Night Host to cover the overnight shift as part of the Front Office team. You will welcome guests, handle reservations, register and room guests, and fulfill guest needs while preparing accurate nightly reports.

The position requires a high school diploma, prior luxury hospitality experience preferred, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency with Opera PMS and related systems is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Background in a luxury hospitality environment or a related field is strongly preferred, but willingness to learn is key.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Must have a flexible schedule; able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Answers the hotel main phone line utilizing telephone etiquette skills.
• Acquires and relays information that personalizes the guest stay.
• Provides answers to guests questions and follows through on all guest requests.
• Takes food and beverage orders for In Room Dining.
• Manages paperwork and requests as designated by Front Office Manager, Lead Host, Guest Service Manager and Personal Hosts.
• Manages the Guest Preference Hotline.
• Understands applicable emergency procedure and evacuation protocol.
• Be familiar with all hotel facts and directions to hotel.
• Upsells to preferred rooms to maximize revenue.
