Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the United States is seeking an experienced Furniture & Millwork Management Consultant to join our owner’s advisory team on a temporary basis for a major casino and resort development.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in architectural millwork for luxury hospitality or gaming environments and will provide strategic advice on cost, constructability, and quality throughout design and delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in architectural millwork for luxury hospitality, gaming, or high-end commercial projects.
• Proven track record advising owners or working in a consultancy on large-scale developments.
• Strong technical knowledge of millwork fabrication, finishes, substrates, and installation methods.
• Expertise in shop drawing review, bid analysis, and change order evaluation.
• Familiarity with codes, fire ratings, ADA, and sustainability requirements.
• Proficiency in design review tools (Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit) and project controls software.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Pricing & Commercial Advisory: review bids, benchmark pricing, and advise on cost estimates and procurement strategies.
• Technical & Shop Drawing Review: assess shop drawings for design intent, specs and codes.
• Value Engineering & Alternatives: recommend substitutions and standardization to save costs.
• Market Intelligence & Procurement: provide insights on millwork supply, lead times and labor.
• Schedule & Logistics: validate fabrication durations and provide site logistics guidance.
• Quality & Compliance: ensure adherence to specifications, fire ratings, ADA and sustainability.
• Stakeholder Management: present recommendations to owner, design team and contractors.
