Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Boston is seeking an In-Room Dining Order Taker to join the In-Room Dining team. You will handle guest calls, take orders with Forbes 5-Star etiquette, and coordinate amenities while supporting dining staff in a fast-paced luxury setting.

Requires 2+ years in a luxury hotel role, excellent English communication, and a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Competitive hourly pay and extensive employee benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar luxury hotel role.
• Excellent telephone skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced operation and multitask.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Reading, writing, and spoken English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Taking accurate food and beverage orders over the phone from hotel guests and entering them into the computer.
• Demonstrating pleasant and professional telephone etiquette in accordance with Forbes 5-Star standards when taking orders and quoting accurate timing for delivery.
• Arranging amenity assignments and deliveries.
• Updating guest preferences.
• Performing side work duties including, but not limited to, folding napkins, clearing tables and trays, and organizing paperwork.
• Assisting In-Room Dining Servers in daily operations.
• Providing excellent service to all guests.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
