Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Boston is seeking an In-Room Dining Order Taker to join the In-Room Dining team. The role involves handling guest telephone requests for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight orders and ensuring accurate timing for delivery.

The position reports to the In-Room Dining Manager. Requirements include a minimum of two years in a similar luxury hotel role, excellent telephone skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a similar luxury hotel role.
• Excellent telephone skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic operation.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Take accurate food and beverage orders over the phone and enter them into the computer.
• Demonstrate pleasant and professional telephone etiquette in accordance with Forbes 5-Star standards.
• Arrange amenity assignments and deliveries.
• Update guest preferences.
• Perform side work duties including folding napkins, clearing tables, and organizing paperwork.
• Assist In-Room Dining Servers in daily operations.
• Provide excellent service to all guests.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
