Job summary

Viceroy Hotels in Santa Monica is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the Director of Housekeeping in delivering top-tier cleanliness and service. You will supervise staff, conduct inspections, and ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas meet Hyatt brand standards.

The role emphasizes staff coaching, safety compliance, and coordinating with Front Office to maintain seamless room turnover and guest satisfaction in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of housekeeping experience with leadership exposure.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and efficiently.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; Opera PMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas and laundry.
• Perform daily inspections to ensure Hyatt brand cleanliness standards.
• Supervise room attendants, housepersons and laundry staff; train new hires.
• Coordinate with Front Office for efficient room turnover and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor staffing levels and inventory; ensure safety and compliance.
