Job summary

The Hay-Adams in Washington, DC is seeking a dedicated dining room server to provide exceptional guest service and deliver a seamless dining experience. You will take orders, present menus, and ensure accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced boutique hotel setting.

We value professional service, strong English communication, and the ability to anticipate guest needs while promoting the Lafayette Restaurant as part of our refined guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent guest service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have good working knowledge of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Clean, clear and set dining room tables as determined by restaurant standards.
• Assist in seating and greeting the guest with professional service techniques.
• Present menu, answer questions, and offer information on all menu items.
• Accurately take guests' orders and relay to kitchen.
• Deliver all plated food and beverages from Kitchen and Service Bars.
• Observe diners to respond to additional requests.
• Maintain and restock service items and fridges.
• Familiar with Micros Front of the House System and cash handling.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
