Job summary

The Hay-Adams in Washington, D.C. seeks an In‑Room Dining team member to deliver food and beverage service to guest rooms, perform side work, and uphold the hotel’s high standards of guest care during night shifts.

Responsibilities include taking orders, posting in Micros, delivering to rooms, restocking and ensuring privacy and service quality. The role demands strong guest service skills and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3–6 months related experience and/or training.
• Must have good working knowledge of the English language.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Take orders directly from patrons requesting In-Room Dining and deliver food and beverages to guest rooms.
• Accurately post orders in Micros and generate guest checks.
• Prepare mise-en-place and conduct side work for the breakfast shift as required.
• Clean and restock service items and maintain In-Room Dining trolleys.
• Ensure guest privacy and follow hotel policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent guest service with courteous phone and in-room interactions.
