Job summary

The Hay-Adams, a downtown Washington, DC luxury hotel, seeks an experienced Food & Beverage leader to oversee all outlets and ensure exceptional guest experiences. You will manage reservations, events, training, and daily operations across Lafayette, Off the Record, and the Private Dining Room.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Hotel/Restaurant Management (or equivalent) and 2–3 years of related experience. TIPS/ServeSafe certifications and Kronos/Micros familiarity are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hotel/restaurant management; related experience or training acceptable.
• Knowledge of food service operations and various service styles; working knowledge of industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the Food & Beverage operation to deliver high level of guest satisfaction and superior services.
• Assist in scheduling reservations and events across outlets (Lafayette, Off the Record, Private Dining).
• Manage reservations system and assist hosts with greetings and seating during peak times.
• Organize daily shift documentation, training topics, labor planning and cost control using Kronos.
• Ensure staff meet service standards and receive ongoing training.
• Monitor cleanliness and safety, address maintenance issues, and supervise room service operations.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management/Restaurant Management
