Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is seeking a skilled Cook 4 to join our luxury culinary team. You will prepare dishes to guest orders, ensure consistency with recipes, and maintain high standards of presentation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of culinary experience, strong knife skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced kitchen. Knowledge of proper equipment operation and food safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year culinary or related work experience.
• Basic culinary knowledge is expected for this position.
• Ability to operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment.
• Proficient knife skills and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items per guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards; complete mise en place and station setup for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service.
• Start prepped items and manage portions to align with forecasted demand.
• Operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment including fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, kettle, waffle iron, and grill.
• Date, rotate, and store perishables; monitor temperatures and par levels; assist in cost-control plans and waste reduction.
