Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a polished Guest Relations Manager for a luxury hotel in Welkom, Free State. You will be the primary point of contact for discerning guests, ensuring personalized service from arrival to departure.

Responsibilities include coordinating with housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance; overseeing check-in/out; resolving issues with grace; training front desk staff; and maintaining up-to-date guest information in the PMS to uphold the property’s reputation for excellence.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in guest services or luxury front office.
• Proactive, personalized guest service mindset.
• Experience with luxury hotel operations and service standards.
• Proficient PMS and standard office software.
• Hospitality degree preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to understand needs and expectations.
• Oversee check-in and check-out with efficiency and warmth.
• Handle inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance to fulfill requests.
• Develop relationships with regular guests and VIPs for loyalty.
• Organize special arrangements and amenities on request.
• Monitor reviews and feedback; implement improvements.
• Train front desk and concierge staff on guest relations standards.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel services and local attractions.
• Ensure guest information is accurately recorded in the PMS.
