Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Concierge Supervisor for a charming hotel in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will lead the guest services team, handle inquiries, and arrange tours, transport, and dining to create memorable experiences.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in concierge or front desk roles, strong knowledge of local attractions, and excellent communication. A hospitality certificate is a plus; weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; hospitality certificate advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years in concierge, guest services, or front desk within hospitality.
• Excellent knowledge of Queenstown, Eastern Cape and surrounding attractions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to assist guests.
• Proficiency in hotel reservation systems and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the Concierge desk and ensure efficient service.
• Assist guests with inquiries about hotel services, local attractions, dining, and entertainment.
• Make reservations and arrangements for tours, transportation, theatre tickets, and restaurant bookings.
• Provide personalized recommendations based on guest preferences and local knowledge.
• Manage guest requests and ensure prompt follow-up.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the hotel and surrounding area.
• Assist in training and mentoring concierge staff.
• Handle guest feedback and report issues.
• Maintain the appearance and organization of the concierge area.
• Build relationships with local tour operators, restaurants, and transport providers.
