Job summary

Silversea is seeking a guest-facing Front Desk professional for shipboard service. You will provide exceptional reception services and coordinate guest needs to deliver the highest level of luxury hospitality aboard our ship.

The role requires 2 years of experience in luxury guest services, basic accounting, and strong administrative skills, with fluent English and desirable multilingual capabilities to enhance guest interactions on board.

Qualifications

• 2 years guest-facing/front desk experience on an international 5-star luxury property.
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Strong administrator with high integrity.
• Excellent fluent English (verbal and written).
• Advanced language skills in Spanish, Portuguese, German or French are desirable.
• Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
• Well organized and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest services at the reception desk.
• Coordinate guests' needs and ensure requests are met.
• Respond to inquiries and complaints promptly and follow up efficiently.
• Demonstrate sincerity and hospitality in all guest interactions.
• Maintain communication with the Guest Relations Manager and other departments.
• Assist guests with financial transactions and balance with the Financial Officer at cruise end.
• Manage daily Reception Desk duties: RSVP invitations, mailing, DVD/CD rentals, newspaper lists, restaurant reservations, wake-up calls.
• Adhere to SOPs and be accountable for practices.
