Job summary

The Boca Raton is seeking an Assistant Director of Catering to oversee daily catering operations and support the Director in delivering top quality meeting management and social events services. This role focuses on aggressively selling social and corporate catering, ensuring guest satisfaction and resort profitability, and coordinating weddings and in-house functions.

Ideal candidates have at least five years in Convention Services, a hospitality degree, and strong communication and computer

Qualifications

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Working knowledge of Food and Beverage sales as well as Hotel Operations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures, and transcriptions prepared on and generated by a computer.
Must possess computer skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day Catering Department operations and support the Director.
Interview potential clients and obtain function details; evaluate feasibility and profitability.
Block definite business and generate contracts and accompanying paperwork; respond to inquiries promptly.
Coordinate weddings, rehearsals, and in-house functions; develop banquet menus.
Monitor profitability, improve catering performance and customer satisfaction.
