Job summary

Fairmont New Orleans seeks a Guest Services Associate to deliver warm, professional service in The Café by Chef Emeril. You will assist guests with menu selections and ensure flawless beverage and dining experiences.

As a key member of the Food & Beverage team, you will maintain knowledge of the menu, coordinate with culinary colleagues, and uphold standards of hospitality, safety, and presentation.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, café, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Luxury hotel or upscale dining experience is an asset.
• Passion for food, beverage, coffee, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop detailed knowledge of menu and beverage offerings.
• Professional, personable, and service-oriented demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and Louisiana food safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional, and engaging service per standards.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate requests to kitchen.
• Deliver orders promptly with proper presentation and temperature.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, stations, and dining areas.
• Assist with opening/closing duties, stocking, and side work.
• Attend pre-shift tastings and training to develop product knowledge.
• Know The Café menu, including items and ingredients.
• Uphold Chef Emeril Lagasse and Fairmont New Orleans standards.
• Work collaboratively with Culinary, Stewarding, Host, and colleagues.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address needs or concerns.
